It really took until I finished my other trip to gain some motivation to finish earlier Mexican chapter. I think in part I was just not really to let it became memory.
On the flip side, I upgraded wordpress, got Php8.4 configured. Most importantly, I finally moved images to Azure Storage instead of constantly fighting for storage space on self hosting and complexity introduced when doing backups.
Day 1
I was supposed to tag along with the Germans, but for some reasons (I am fairly certain it was one chick who didn’t feel the need to be inclusive) I was stood after they promised to go together. Somehow, I managed to join a Spanish only group with a Slovenia couple who offered to translate.

It was impressive that the zapotecas were able to build such pre-historical wonders

After that we did another Mescal tour

The locals were nice to offer to pay for my tasting fee since I didn’t have enough cash. Kudos to the kind Mexicans!

After that was lunch

I only had 200 pesos just enough for the lunch. The Slovenians paid for my drinks

The buffet was great. Lots of unique dishes for a decent price!
After that was the black pottery tour (another tourist trap perhaps)

Later, I went to a brewery to get some drinks and friended with a Brit in which we eventually went out for late night dinner

Day 2
Woke up early morning to get some coffee

Went to the museum that’s famous for the Monte Alban extraction

It became really hot and time for some lunch – I managed to dine with a Belgium girl

Later in the evening we went to watch a Mexican Boxing

Day 3
Leaving Oaxaca and arriving at Puebla

First impression was the climate was perfect.
Went to a highly rated restaurant in front of the cathedral for lunch!

Sensitional is the word! The mole was great!

Later, I did a walking tour.

Day 4
Hostel had a group that’s organizing a car tour to the nearest mountain top

Too bad we couldn’t go because the park was closed due to some search and rescue mission
We ended up going to a waterfall instead

Day 5
After a bit of a coffee,

I decided to hop on a bus to a nearby town Cholula

lunch at a local market

Museum time

A bit dinner

Day 6
Took a walk to the city park

Happy hours

Day 7
Last day 🙁

Found an Argentinian restaurant! (Would love to visit the country one day)

Rain museum time

Karaoke night and dinner

Bonus
Centurion lounge at CDMX

Good plan to upgrade WordPress and move to Azure Storage! I understand it can be easier to delay that as long as possible as I’m also running a WordPress website.
The locals were certainly very kind to pay so much for you!
That is fantastic you got to go with some groups.
As always, what excellent adventures, museums, food, hikes, and sights you’ve seen!
I appreciate the ending photos of the Welcome to the United States in Sea-Tac!
